Everest Expedition via South - 2010, October (SAVE THE POLES) -- Eric Larsen

In Support with Himalayan Trail Blazer, Mr. Eric Larsen (SAVE THE POLE) successfully climbed Everest Expedition via South on October, 2010. Mr. Larsen was the first to do so in ten years during this month. A report submitted by the Liasion Officer and Handling Agency stated that Larsen along with five members of High Altitude Workers (HAW) succeeded in climbing Mount Everest on October 15.

The Nepali HAW members who climbed the peak during this season were Tshering Dorje Sherpa, Nima Dorje Tamang, Pasang Temba Sherpa, Dawa Gelzen Sherpa and Pasang Dawa Sherpa. The expedition team comprising of one member was permitted to climb to the height of 8,848 meters from the normal route for a period of seventy-five days, Himalayan Trailblazer Trekking and Expedition Pvt Ltd was the handling agency for the expedition.
