Day 01:
Arrive Kathmandu

Meet with our representative at the airport. Drive to hotel.

Day 02:
Kathmandu
Duration: 4 hrs
Height: 1300m
Half day sightseeing around Kathmandu. O/N at hotel

Day 03:
Kathmandu - Pokhara
Duration: 6 hrs
Height: 960m
Drive or fly over night at hotel.

Day 04:
Pokhara  Jomsom - Kagbeni
Duration: 25 minute fly and 3 hrs trek
Height: 2900m
Fly over the World s deepest gorge between Annapurna I (8091m) and Ddhaulagiri (8167m) mountains, which falls 6000m. After arrangement trek to Kagbeni alongside of Kaligandaki river. Passing Aklebhatti and arrive ancient town Kagbeni.

Day 05:
Kagbeni  Chele
Duration: 7 hrs
Height: 3030m
Leaving town ascend too little Chroten with dusty path. Up and down along side of Kaligandaki arrive Tangbe for lunch than still same kind of path cross the Chusang River and cross the bridge on Kaligandaki. Little climb to Chele with good views of walls with red colour.

Day 06:
Chele - Geling
Duration: 7 hrs
Height: 3510m
This day stay with several passes and good views of mountain and colorful landscape, which is water, washed walls. Alpine meadows with animals Chortens, Mani walls and little bhatties.

Day 07:
Geling-Charang
Duration: 8 hrs
Height: 3650m
After visit monasteries path goes up hill to the pass and goes down hill to Ghemi village. Cross the river and climb back up via a long Mani wall of the area. Climbing up along the dusty path to the pass (3770m). After down to further 2 more hours to Tsacharang. Tsachrang it is big village with some Monasteries, beautiful Chortens can spend in the morning visit rounds. Castles village.

Day 08:
Charang - Lo Manthang
Duration: 4hrs
Height: 3760m
This is a short day walk till lunchtime. After leaving beautiful village down to little river and climb back other side along the dusty flat path. It is beautiful landscape and Chortens as well caves can be visited.

Day 09:
Lo- Manthang
Duration: all day
Height: 3760m
This is the destination of our trek. This town is about 600 years old. There is a wall covering whole town. In the past they did not allow to build any house out side wall because of security and they believe bad sprite will give them trouble if they do that. Even now during the festival monks walk rounds the wall blessing the whole town. There are three monastery and schools in side. This can visit at the end of the day but in the morning trek to and eastern valley, Nyphu, Gharphu. It is two hours walk from Lo-Manthang. On the way front can see the dramatic cave village of Chosar and the red monastery of Nyphu set into the rock face. The trail reaches a chorten and rounds a bend opposite Chosar to display the village monastery of Gharphu ahead on the east side of the mustang Khola. This can be reached by crossing two bridges close to Gharphu, 3760m. From gharphu the path leads round below the cliffs to Nyphu, where the red gompa is built out from a vertical rock face and partly set in a cave behind the walls.
On the return route we noticed on ill-defined trail leading steeply up a small dry gulley near the main wall. This appeared to be a short cut over to the western valley, and climbed to a Col north of the ruined fortress that overlooks Lo Manthang. Also on the return route is another shorter path which climbs higher over the hillside, giving a different view of the city.

Day 10:
Lo-Manthang
Duration: all day
Height: 3760m
From the northerly corner of the wall a track leads west, staying on the south side of the river for about ½ hour. The trail then drops, becoming quite rocky, to cross the river. There is no bridge here. It climbs again towards the fields and joins another path from the east, leading up towards Namgyal monastery, 1 hour. Other trails lead up the valley to Phuwa, 1/2 hr, and Tingkar, 1 hr from here.

Day 11:
Lo-Manthang - Ghami via Gekar
Duration: 7 hrs
Height: 3520m
This is an opportunity to visit two other villages on your return trek. The trail climbs steadily to the pass marked by a cairn, offering a last glimpse of Lomanthang. Crossing a ridge at 4070m, the trail then bumpily to Gekar. Lo Gekar Gompa is one of the oldest gompas in Nepal. And is older than the famed samye gompa in Tibet. Passing through Thamar villages, the steep trail finally reaches Ghami.

Day 12:
Ghami - Samar
Duration: 7 hrs
Height: 3700m
From Ghami climb to Nyi la and descend to Samar through the same route.

Day 13:
Samar-Kagbeni
Duration: 6 hrs
Height: 2900m
Descend down to Kaligandaki via Chaile. After crossing a bridge stay all day left hand side of river. Chusang River some time high. Slow up hill to Tangye and walk to an ancient town Kagbeni end of the day.

Day 14:
Kagbeni-Jomsom
Duration: 3 hrs
Height: 27
Walking back from Kagbeni via Aklebhatti. Some time need to walk higher than normal path if not along the river to Jomsom end of the trip.

Day 15:
Jomsom - Pokhara - Kathmandu
Duration: 25 minute-30 minute
Height: 960 m-1300m
After break fast fly to Pokhara and same day fly back to Kathmandu or combine with other trip from Pokhara like Jungle safari, Rafting or pilgrim tour to Lumbini on request.

Flight Delay in JOMSOM

Twin Otter is the primary mode of transport from the airstrip at Jomsom. This service is fairly dependable. Sometimes, flights may be cancelled due to mountain weather conditions or other technical problems. In such case, Himalayan Trail Blazer will organize the alternative available road transportation to ensure you are on schedule for your international flight.

The expense of the road transport will be managed from the reimbursement received from the flight ticket after the deduction of cancelation charge. So please note that there will be no refund of the flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, if the alternative road transportation is consolidated.
